Firefighters extinguished a vehicle on fire at the bridge near the Jerudong Petrol Station on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD), 10 firefighters led by DSO Rapidi bin Haji Matali from Jerudong Fire Station rushed to the scene of the fire after receiving a distress call at 4.56pm.
A security guard attempted to douse the fire with dry powder. Despite the effort, the fire continued.
The firefighters found the fire raging at the front engine of the vehicle, and extinguished it in two minutes using hose reel.
No injuries were reported, while the estimated cost of damages and cause of fire are under investigation.
The FRD reminded the public to ensure that their vehicles are in good condition and to regularly check the wiring system.
Vehicle owners must also ensure that modifications or additions to the electrical system of the engine, car accessories and wiring, should comply with safety standards, the FRD added.
