Mosques, suraus and religious halls across the Sultanate continued enlivening Maulidur Rasul, the birth date of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) with dikir and selawat for 12 days commencing the 1st of Rabiulawal 1446 Hijrah.
A ceremony was held at the Istana Nurul Iman surau on Tuesday evening, attended by Permanent Secretary (Municipal and District) of Home Affairs Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan.
A congregatory Isyak prayer was led by Haji Mohd Azrol Alim bin Haji Zaini, Mosque Affairs Officer.
The ceremony also witnessed a talk on ‘Embracing Sunnah of the Prophet’ by Ustaz Mohammad Nasyith bin Superi from the Islamic Dakwah Centre.
A Doa was read by Haji Fansuri Sharimi @ Haji Mansur bin Mohd Ali.
Also in attendance were officers and staff from the Ministry of Home Affairs, members of Kilanas Village Consultative Council, students of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute, and members of Women’s Council. – FADLEY FAISAL
