The Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE), alongside its departments, held an Al-Quran reading competition yesterday at the theatre hall of the ministry’s building on Commonwealth Drive.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah was present as guest of honour, joined by Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid.
Mohd Hazwan Hanif bin Haji Junaidi from the Employees Trust Fund (TAP) claimed top spot in the qari category, followed by Khairun Nadzeeren bin Haji Daud from the Treasury Department and Mohd Khairul Nazri bin Begawan Mudim Haji Sapar from the JPES.
Meanwhile, Aqilah binti Haji Hassan from the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics (JPES) claimed the top spot in the in the qariah category, followed by Pengiran Hasrina binti Pengiran Haji Hashim from TAP and Hajah Rozaidah binti Haji Abdul Rahman from the MoFE. – Fadley Faisal
