The Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office held a face-to-face dialogue with residents of Kampong Sibut and Kampong Sumbiling in Mukim Amo, Temburong District.
The programme aimed to deliver information on current issues and government policies while gathering public feedback.
Senior Information Officer Haji Fathi Foad bin Dato Seri Setia Haji Abu Bakar led the delegation along with officers from the Department of Electrical Services, the Water Services Department, the Public Works Department, DST Network Sdn Bhd (DSTN), and the Youth and Sports Department.
Among the information presented by the DES was on the token identifier (TID) rollover and Unified Smart Metering System (USMS).
DSTN meanwhile, highlighted the benefit of USMS, allowing their users to see usage from time to time, control their consumption and save expenses to the residents.
The programme concluded with a question-and-answer session on safety, infrastructure, public facilities and youth programmes. The event also featured the sale of books published by the Information Department.
Village Head of Kampong Sibut and Kampong Sumbiling Haji Suhaili bin Haji Badas expressed appreciation for the opportunity to voice issues faced by the villagers during the dialogue. – Azlan Othman
