Politeknik Brunei (PB) conducted an intensive 3D printing training for its students.
The training was officiated by PB acting principal Haji Mohd Jaafar bin Haji Johari.
Muhammad Saifuddin bin Sahari led the session to ensure the students receive comprehensive hands-on training.
The training followed a similar initiative conducted in May, where lecturers from the School of Health Sciences underwent foundational training in 3D printing.
The current phase focuses on equipping students with the skills needed to integrate 3D printing technologies into their anatomy and physiology coursework in the upcoming semester.
The participants gained proficiency in operating 3D printers, utilising pre-designed templates, and designing custom 3D models.
The foundational skills will be critical as students will apply 3D printing to their anatomy and physiology projects.
The initiative is designed to support the digital transformation of the higher education landscape and equip students with skills for the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, PB said in a release. – Azlan Othman
