Comfort meets innovation

The brand-new Perodua AXIA has made a grand comeback with a revamped design and a significantly larger footprint, offering a notable increase in size compared to its predecessor.

Along with its spacious build, this car is equipped with a comprehensive array of advanced safety features to ensure every drive is smooth, enjoyable, and worry-free.

As the saying goes, with exceptional driving technology comes superb efficiency.

This compact Segment A vehicle delivers a reliable and efficient engine that enhances every journey, whether you’re behind the wheel or enjoying the ride as a passenger.

Available in both standard and high-end variants, the all-new Axia has just been introduced by GHK Motors Sdn Bhd, marking the company’s first model as an authorised distributor.

With this launch, Perodua AXIA is set to make a lasting impression on the automotive scene.

Both the Axia AV (high-spec) and Axia G (standard-spec) are powered by a 1.0L engine equipped with VVT-i technology, delivering energy efficient vehicle (EEV) performance with a D-CVT transmission for smooth gear changes and responsive handling.

This combination offers excellent fuel efficiency, enhanced by the Eco Idle feature.

Both variants also come with keyless entry, central locking, and 14-inch alloy rims. The AV variant, however, includes several additional features, providing a higher level of comfort and convenience.

AXIA AV

The exterior of the Axia AV features a bold chrome front grille with an integrated front skirt. It boasts LED headlamps with auto on-off capability and follow-me-home/leave-home functions, as well as daytime running lights.

The side profile includes side skirts, an electric and retractable side mirror with LED turn signals, and a rear spoiler.

Inside, the Axia AV sports a monotone instrument panel with silver accents, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel with power mode, and a digital air conditioning system. Entertainment-wise, it is equipped with a seven-inch TFT multi-info display and a nine-inch infotainment system with a reverse camera, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The seats are semi-bucket, semi-leather for enhanced comfort, and the rear offers ample legroom for passengers. Additional practical features include shopping and anti-snatch hooks and a generous 265-litre luggage capacity, which is spacious for a Segment A car.

Safety is a top priority, as evidenced by the 5-Star ASEAN NCAP rating. The Axia AV is equipped with six SRS airbags (driver, passenger, side, and curtain), an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), brake assist, vehicle stability control (VSC), emergency stop signal (ESS), hill start assist, and an ISOFIX system with top tether.

The AV also comes with advanced safety assist (ASA), offering pre-collision warning and braking, pedal misoperation control driving assist, lane departure warning and prevention, blind spot monitoring, parking assist with a reverse camera, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear sensors, and headlamp assist with auto high beams.

AXIA G

Shifting to the standard variant of the Axia, the Axia G. Unlike the AV, it features a material-coloured front grille with a front skirt, along with halogen headlamps that have auto on-off functionality, and electric/manual retractable side mirrors.

Inside, the Axia G has a monotone instrument panel, a urethane-wrapped steering wheel, an LCD multi-info display, and a basic audio system with MP3 and Bluetooth support, as well as a 3-dial analogue control setup.

While the Axia G comes with standard fabric seats, it doesn’t compromise on comfort. It offers spacious legroom, especially in the rear, and includes a shopping hook, an anti-snatch hook, and a 265-litre luggage capacity – similar to the AV.

Regarding safety, the Axia G shares many features with the AV, such as ABS with EBD, brake assist, vehicle stability and traction controls, ESS, hill start assist, and ISOFIX with a top tether.

However, it only has two SRS airbags (front), as opposed to the six in the AV.

Additionally, the Axia G includes parking assist with rear sensors.

EFFICIENT AND ADVANCED

Both Axia variants, recognised for their fuel efficiency, emphasise technology, safety, drivability, convenience, and style.

They are available in a range of colours, including Granite Grey – a favourite for Bezza – Lava Red, Glittering Silver, Coral Blue, and Solid Ivory White. – Lyna Mohammad
