The mosque takmir committees marked the end of the nightly Dikir Syarafil Anam, held for 12 nights to mark Maulidur Rasul celebration for 1446 Hijrah, with closing ceremonies yesterday.
Acting Deputy Director-General of the Public Works Department at the Ministry of Development Ir Norazmi bin Othman was the guest of honour at Kampong Kilanas Mosque.
This year, the Kampong Kilanas Mosque takmir committee invited 20 Dikir Syarafil Anam groups from various organisations including government ministries and departments, association, non-governmental organisation, mosques and higher education institutions.
Meanwhile, Director of the Fire and Rescue Department Azmi bin Haji Hafneh attended the ceremony at the Kampong Panchor Murai Mosque.
The ceremony also saw a lecture from assistant religious officer at the Islamic Da’wah Centre Pengiran Haji Reduan bin Pengiran Haji Badaruddin. – Rokiah Mahmud
