The Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School in Kampong Katok yesterday.
The ceremony was held in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin
Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 78th birthday celebration.
The ceremony saw Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali youth leader lead the recitation of Takhtim.
It concluded with Doa Selamat and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Spouse of Minister of Religious Affairs Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Awang Asbi was among those present. – Azlan Othman
