All-one MOH group took the top spot at a Qasidah competition during a Maulidur Rasul celebration yesterday at Al-‘Afiah Hall organised by the Ministry of Health, through the Department of Renal Services and the Health Promotion Centre.
Meanwhile, Qaisarah Qalbee group was placed second, followed by Azzuhrah group in third.
In addition, An-Naura group received a consolation prize. The competition, introduced this year, aims to strengthen the bond and love for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) through selawat delivered in the form of Qasidah, while also encouraging participation and cultural engagement among ministry staff.
Az-Zuhrah group from Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Hospital, Temburong District; All-one MOH group from the Administration and Finance Department; Qaisarah Qalbee group from Suri Seri Begawan Hospital, Belait; An-Naura group from the Department of Renal Services participated in the competition.
Al-Falaah School students were also invited to perform Qasidah.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar presided over the ceremony and presented the awards.
Also in attendance at the event was Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin. – Fadley Faisal
