Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) announced yesterday that the bank’s passbook services were discontinued as of June 1 as part of its commitment to sustainability and digital transformation. The move aligns with BIBD’s goal to offer more efficient, secure and convenient banking solutions to its customers.
The bank, in a statement, said customers can access their transactions through e-statements available on the BIBD NEXGEN platform. The digital platform provides a secure and instant way to access statements while customers requiring printed statements may do so by visiting BIBD branches. A statement retrieval fee will apply.
The fee will be waived until May 31, 2025 for senior citizens and customers with special needs. – Lyna Mohamad
