The Rabitah International Alumni Al-Azhar Al-Syarif Brunei Darussalam conducted its fourth general assembly at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali’s auditorium hall yesterday which saw the dissolution of the executive committee for 1444-1445 Hijrah, followed by the election of new committee members for the 1446-1447 Hijrah term.
Chairman of the working committee for the fourth general assembly Muhammad Adham bin Hashim addressed the gathering.
President of the Al-Azhar Alumni Association Brunei Darussalam Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yusuf launched the second edition of Sautur Rabitah.
The biennial meeting aimed to review and confirm the minutes of the previous assembly and to present the annual report and financial statements for 1444-1445H. The association’s secretary-general Haji Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman presented the programme and activity reports.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by Al-Azhar Alumni Association Brunei Darussalam member Muhammad Khaizuran Amali bin Haji Kamsani leading a Doa.
The event concluded with a brief speech and adjournment by a representative of the newly elected executive committee, accompanied by the collective recitation of Surah Al-’Asr and Tasbih Kaffarah Al-Majlis. – Fadhley Faisal
