ANN/THE KOREA HERALD – Korean sensation Zerobaseone continues to make waves in the J-pop scene, securing the top spot on Oricon’s daily singles chart for the second consecutive day with their debut Japanese single album, “Yurayura-unmeinohana.”
The group’s meteoric rise sees them selling an impressive 187,694 copies of the Japanese single album on the day of its release, catapulting them to No 1 on the daily singles chart, which is primarily based on physical album sales.
Zerobaseone’s official debut in Japan, marked by the March 20 release under Sony Music Label, marks a significant milestone in their burgeoning career.
At the forefront of the single album is the titular track “Yurayura-unmeinohana,” accompanied by Japanese renditions of two of the group’s Korean hits, “In Bloom” and “Crush.”
Fans can anticipate an electrifying showcase as Zerobaseone gears up for their inaugural fan concerts in Japan, the 2024 Zerobaseone Fan-Con, slated to take place at the K-Arena Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan, over the weekend.
Comprising nine talented artists selected through the Mnet K-pop competition “Boys Planet,” Zerobaseone stormed onto the music scene with their debut mini-album, “Youth in the Shade,” in July last year, setting a new benchmark with their debut.
Their unprecedented success has cemented Zerobaseone as the first K-pop act to achieve million-seller status on the day of their debut, solidifying their position as global trailblazers in the music industry.
