Youth depart for ASEAN Youth Leadership event

A group of young leaders from Brunei Darussalam left yesterday for Bangkok, Thailand to participate in the Empowering Youths Across ASEAN (EYAA) programme.

The delegation includes 10 members from Cohort 4 and four alumni from the previous cohorts.

The EYAA programme, organised by the ASEAN Foundation, aims to develop leadership skills, promote regional cooperation and enhance community development among young leaders from ASEAN members countries.

Participants will engage in collaborative projects, share best practices, and create sustainable solutions for regional social issues.

Led by Abdul Hadi bin Haji Abdullah, a Cohort 1 alumnus who previously conducted a community project in Cambodia, the delegation will take part in workshops and cultural exchanges in Bangkok. They will also travel to the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia or Cambodia to start their two-week community projects.

The programme offers opportunities for networking with young leaders from other ASEAN members countries, enriching their understanding of regional cultures and perspectives. – Fadley Faisal
