The Ministry of Health (MoH) through the Department of Medical Services held a Good Prescription Workshop for medical doctors at the ministry’s Al-‘Afiah Hall yesterday.

The workshop provided a general picture on the methods of good prescription principles to ensure that high safety standards of clinical and quality healthcare are achieved.

Permanent Secretary (Professional) at the MoH Dr Ang Swee Hui was the guest of honour.

It proceeded with a briefing by Department of Medical Services, Patient Quality and Safety Unit and Department of Pharmaceutical Services officers.

Good Medical and Dental Practice provided by the Brunei Medical Board stated that medical practitioners must be well-versed on health and patients’ need before prescribing the medicine or administering effective treatment based on sound medical evidence.
