Workshop explores building high performance teams in business

By fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, entrepreneurs can position themselves for sustainable growth and resilience in today’s dynamic business landscape, said Head of Business Banking at Baiduri Bank Mohammad Isa Liew on the 13th edition of the Baiduri MSME Empowerment Series at Baiduri Enterprise Hub yesterday.

He added, “The success of any business hinges greatly on the strength of its team, particularly in navigating the inevitable ups and downs of entrepreneurship.”

The event, hosted by the bank in collaboration with the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) through Darussalam Enterprise (DARe), featured a workshop titled ‘Businesses Don’t Fail, Leaders Do: Leverage Design thinking to find your dream team’.

Some 30 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) attended the workshop facilitated by industry experts Daryl Lim and Rosemary Phan from Design Thinkers Academy Asia, aimed at empowering businesses with innovative strategies for growth and enhanced customer satisfaction.

Participants engaged in a hands-on learning experience exploring human-centred design principles, leveraging real customer case studies and practical exercises such as stakeholder mapping and journey mapping.

The workshop was followed by a one-to-one clinic consultation.

The series continues to serve as a platform to foster entrepreneurship and facilitate the growth of MSMEs in Brunei under the bank’s corporate social responsibility efforts.
