The Meraih Barkah Group (KMB) conducted a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s birthday celebration at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque yesterday.
Minister of Religious Affairs’ spouse Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Asbi was the guest of honour at the annual event to show love and loyalty to the monarch and support His Majesty’s leadership to realise a prosperous, stable and peaceful Brunei with Allah the Almighty’s blessings.
The Tedarus ceremony began on the day of the monarch’s birthday and was conducted online after dawn prayers. It culminated with yesterday’s Khatam Al-Quran ceremony which saw a participation of 100 members.
Pengiran Hajah Halijah binti Pengiran Haji Damit led the Khatam while Hartini binti Hashim recited Doa Puja Usia Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah.
The guest of honour presented certificates to the Khatam participants and KMB Head Hajah Florinda binti Haji Mejenis presented waqaf of two air-conditioning units to Sengkarai Primary School Headmistress Hajah Suzanawati binti Haji Mat Kira.
Maimunah binti Morsidi was gifted an infaq of an umrah package in December, in conjunction with KMB’s 10th anniversary. – Lyna Mohamad
