The Women Graduates Association of Brunei Darusalam (PSW) held a Majlis Ilmu and weekly talk at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque, Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Complex yesterday.

The event, conducted every Sunday throughout the month of Ramadhan, began with a talk on ‘Mahalnya Syurga’ by religious education officer at the Islamic Studies Department Noorizah binti Haji Abidin, who touched on the beauty of Heaven and highlighted Muslimah practices towards gaining it.

This was followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Ratib Al-Attas and Tahlil led by Al-Quran teacher at the Brunei Islamic Religious Council Nur Haziqah binti Haji Mohd Taha, and concluded with a mass Zohor prayer.

The talk serves as a platform for the community to deepen their understanding of Islamic teachings during Ramadhan and help participants to strengthen their faith and relationship with Allah the Almighty.

It also aims to empower women in religious education and leadership.

To promote humanitarian awareness, the programme also provides a Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza box to encourage participants to contribute towards helping the people of Palestine.

The money raised will be handed over to the fund collection secretariat at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports on April 18. – Lyna Mohamad
