A webinar providing guidance on breastfeeding during the holy month of Ramadhan was held recently.
The webinar, hosted by breastfeeding counsellor Nabilah Nor Amin at BEL-LATCH Lactation Support, aimed to assist mothers with the challenges of breastfeeding during the holy month. BEL-LATCH Lactation Support is an advocate organisation for breastfeeding education and support.
Around 100 participants attended the webinar, which discussed topics such as nutrition, hydration, breastpumping scheduling and self-care strategies as well as offering practical solutions for mothers during the holy month of Ramadhan.
The response to the initiative underscores the growing need for specialised support in the intersection of breastfeeding and cultural practices.
