Walking for peace

The 2nd Palestine Solidarity Walkathon, organised by Big BWN Project and the Palestine Poppies in collaboration with Majlis Belia Brunei, united around 5,000 participants on Sunday at Dermaga Diraja, Bandar Seri Begawan.

The event was a powerful act of solidarity with the displaced people of Gaza, bringing the community together while wearing the colours of the Palestinian flag.

The walkathon commenced at 6.30 am and covered a scenic 1.7-kilometer route around the Bandar Seri Begawan landmarks, starting and ending at Dermaga Diraja Bandar Seri Begawan.

Participants, including members of the diplomatic community, families, students, and individuals of all ages, symbolising their unwavering support for Palestine and spreading messages of hope and unity.

“The turnout today reflects our community’s commitment to standing in solidarity with Palestine. It’s inspiring to see so many people come together for such an important cause.” said the event organisers.
