Congregants at Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Mentiri received copies of Al-Quran as Wakaf from Darul Ma’mur Mosque in Lawas, Sarawak, aimed to foster closer ties between worshippers from both mosques yesterday.
The Chairperson of Darul Ma’mur Mosque Othman bin Adol said the Wakaf is one way to spread the teachings of Islam and seek blessings and rewards from Allah the Almighty.
The Wakaf was presented to Imam of Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Mentiri Abdul Salam bin Haji Salim, who handed over the copies to congregants who regularly read Al-Quran after Subuh prayer.
