It is pitiful to see a lack of representation of private sector employees in the current session of the Legislative Council (LegCo) meeting.
The issues surrounding private sector employees, such as low pay, rising costs of living and difficulties in securing decent employment, have not been voiced enough.
In actuality, these are key issues that we would like the authorities to look into.
As such, I implore the appointed LegCo members to heed His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s advice to be sincere in their representation of the masses, and not just for their own sake as well as those who are already financially well-off.
