HANOI (XINHUA) – The international passengers transported from/to Vietnam is likely to reach 43.5 million this year, up 33.4 per cent compared to 2023 and 4.3 per cent compared to 2019, Vietnam News Agency reported yesterday, citing the Civil Aviation Agency of Vietnam.

The international flight network has restored to pre-COVID-19 levels and continued to expand to new markets in Central Asia, India, and Australia. According to the agency, in the first half of 2024, domestic carriers transported nine million international passengers, an increase of 28 per cent over the same period 2023, accounting for 44 per cent of the international passenger transport market share.

Vietnam welcomed nearly 10 million international visitors in the first seven months of this year, said the country’s General Statistics Office.
