The rhythmic beats and lively tunes from local bands Forzart and Reunions electrified the stage at Kampong Pandan Community Hall as the three-day ‘Festival Berambih Ke Belait’ began on November 1.
The event oganised by the RPN Kampong Panaga ‘A’ Village Consultative Council in collaboration with the Belait District Office, aims to enliven weekend nights with games, activities and live performances.
In addition to Forzart and Reunions’ band performances, 51 vendors set up booths at the community hall and around the car park, showcasing products from local entrepreneurs and businesses. Event Chairman and RPN Kampong Panaga ‘A’ Village Head Muhammad Nurzairie bin Abdullah Peter, highlighted the activities available, including a children’s colouring contest, guitar solo competition, decorative bike show and a hero costume competition.
“We hope the three-day event will bring vibrancy to the weekend nights, offering a unique experience for the community under the Kenali Negara Kitani initiative, especially for those who may not be familiar with this community hall,” he said.
The festival, which concludes today, is held from 10am to 10pm. Legislative Council member and Penghulu of Mukim Bukit Sawat Yang Berhormat Haji Mohd Salleh bin Haji Othman officiated the event, joined by Penghulu Mukim and village heads. – Daniel Lim
