University students and alumni told to maintain positive attitude

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), through its Office of Career Advancement and Industry Networking, organised a motivational talk titled ‘Career Paths After Graduation’ on Monday. The session was delivered by Empowerior Academy and Consultancy director and manager Major (Rtd) Haji Rusli bin Bujang who is a counsellor and president of the Brunei Darussalam Counselling Association (PERKAB).

Major (Rtd) Haji Rusli emphasised the importance of maintaining a positive attitude when facing life’s challenges.

He also touched on how life’s challenges serve as tests adding that to strengthen resilience and discipline, these tests not only teach people to become more resilient but also encourage continuous growth and perseverance in pursuing career goals and personal aspirations.

The event also featured an interactive discussion and a question-and-answer segment, allowing participants to engage with the speaker.

The event was held to inspire graduates to keep striving and not lose hope in their job search while fostering a persistent spirit to achieve success.

The talk, held at the JobCentre Brunei Auditorium, saw participation from 45 alumni and current students. The workshop concluded with a presentation of souvenirs and a certificate of appreciation to Major (Rtd) Haji Rusli by Head of the Office of Career Advancement and Industry Networking at UNISSA Dr Hajah Zurairatul Zakiah binti Dato Seri Setia Haji Rajid. – Fadley Faisal
