University holds workshop to prepare students for job market

The Office of Assistant Vice-Chancellor Academic Affairs (OAVCAA), Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) organised a workshop for students to provide feedback on the current GenNext curriculum to foster continuous improvement in education and to better prepare students for the challenges of tomorrow’s job market.

Forty students from various programmes and academic levels participated in the workshop to ensure a well-rounded perspective. Discussions and interactive sessions during the workshop focused on important areas such as academic content, assessment, skills development, job market relevance and study-life balance.

The workshop was part of UBD’s ongoing commitment to ensure that the educational programmes it offers are tailored to meet the evolving needs and expectations of the student body.

UBD added in a statement; “In today’s rapidly evolving job market, where new skills and competencies are in high demand, educational institutions must stay attuned to the needs and aspirations of their students.

“With a commitment to ensure that students are equipped for succeed, the university is taking proactive steps to understand their perspectives on their academic journey.”
