University academics polish up on Arabic language

The Faculty of Arabic Language at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), in collaboration with the Centre for Leadership and Lifelong Learning, conducted an Arabic Language enhancement workshop for its non-Arab academic staff.

The workshop featured Professor Nahla A Al-Saeedi, the first woman appointed as an advisor to the Sheikh of Al-Azhar in Egypt. She also holds dual roles as the dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Al-Azhar and the Director of Markaz Tathwir, the Al-Azhar Centre for Student and International Student Development.

The workshop aimed to serve as a platform for academic staff to integrate the Arabic language more effectively into their teaching curriculum, while also fostering an exchange of ideas on making Arabic language teaching more engaging, accessible, and effective.
