An 11-person delegation comprising students and staff from Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre (HTRC), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) visited Prince of Songkla University (PSU) in Thailand recently.
HTRC Director Pengiran Dr Hajah Norkhairiah binti Pengiran Haji Hashim led the group.
Among the activities were a symposium on ‘Halal Science, Industry and Business’ where six papers were presented by the visitors.
The group also visited Alfahad Hotel in Hat Yai known for its Muslim-friendly concept.
The visitors also visited several PSU centres such as the Halal Institute, Office of Scientific Instruments and Testing, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Model Factory, a banana factory and Islamic committee of Songkhla.
Copies of UNISSA Mushaf were also handed over to the Central Mosque of Songkhla and Ahmadiyah Islamic School.
