Twenty underprivileged families in the Tutong District received alms in the form of basic necessities from Head of Religious Officer in the Tutong District Haji Azman bin Haji Musa yesterday.
The contributions were delivered to families of converts in Kampong Kuala Ungar, Mukim Rambai by a Tutong Dakwah Unit team, led by Haji Azman.
The donations, as part of Fathul Barakah 5.0 Project, are being distributed in the four districts in stages. It is an initiative of the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI), through its Muallaf Development Division (Muallaf Welfare) in collaboration with Tutong Dakwah Unit and Tutong District New Muslim Converts Association (PESATU).
Apart from basic necessities, the families also received Sunat Tarawih Prayer and Witir Guidebook and Ratib al-Attas, both publications of the Converts Guidance Series.
Muhammad Nursyukriwan bin Abdullah Napir, representing the president of the PESATU, was also present. – Lyna Mohamad
