Cuckoo International (B) Sdn Bhd (Cuckoo) extended its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts by providing donations to three underprivileged families in Kampong Tasek Meradun, Kilanas yesterday.
Cuckoo Brand Marketing Supervisor Abdul Aziz Ismail presented the donations, which included a seven-member household, a senior citizen living alone and a single mother with one child.
Kampong Tasek Meradun and Kampong Bunut Village Head Ahmad Hussaini bin Haji Mohsin was present during the donation handover.
The donations, which included Raya clothes and groceries, were collected among Cuckoo staff members to alleviate the families’ burdens during Ramadhan and aid them in preparing for the Hari Raya celebration.
As part of its CSR activities, Cuckoo plans to expand its efforts this Ramadhan such as participating in the No Plastic Bag Everyday initiative, launching an air conditioner cleaning campaign at mosques and providing food packs for iftar during the fasting month. – Lyna Mohamad
