    Underprivileged converts receive basic necessities

More than 300 infaq (alms) were collected through the Fathul Barakah 5.0 project, an initiative of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) through the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) in collaboration with the New Converts Association.

The initiative served as a platform for the public to donate to underprivileged converts in welcoming the holy month of Ramadhan.

Basic daily necessities were collected across the country – at Darul Huda Building of PDI, the Tutong Dakwah Unit, the Belait Dakwah Unit and the Temburong Dakwah Unit on February 17 and 18.

Acting PDI Director Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman extended his appreciation to the public who supported the initiative. The ceremony continued with the presentation along with a Sunnat Tarawih Prayer and Witir guidebook and Ratib Al-Atthaas from Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh to 30 underprivileged families in the Brunei-Muara District. – Lyna Mohamad
