The Tutong District League continues with Tutong Hotspurs solidifying their position at the top of the table following a 3-1 victory over Tutong District Amateur Football Association (TDAFA) Under-23 team at the Tutong Sports Complex in the Tutong District yesterday.
Fresh from a 8-1 demolition of Bang Dalam FC in their opening match, Tutong Hotspurs continued their fine form and extended their winning run to two games.
Syfulrizal bin Kasim opened the scoring for the league leaders in the ninth minute before Md Syafiq Fakri bin Haji Mahri replied for TDAFA in the 20th minute.
However, a brace from Hairol Azaman Shah bin Abdullah in the 30th and 40th minute ensured Tutong Hotspurs a perfect start to the campaign.
Meanwhile, TDAFA Under-23 team succumbed to their first defeat of the season.
The league will continue with Azmainshah FC taking on Bang Dalam FC tomorrow. – Fadhil Yunus
