Training session with former national football players

Over 60 students participated in a football training session conducted by national football legends in conjunction with the sport clinic organised by the Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam (SMJA) Secondary School.

Former national player Haji Rosanan bin Abdullah Samak revealed that players should be fully focused in matches, provide commitment and gain a close understanding to form a truly solid team.

“The team will be crippled if the players are not able to concentrate during the match,” he said before starting the basic football training.

Besides introducing effective training tactics, he also gave motivation and advice to fuel the participants with enthusiasm and enhance their interest in football.

Former national players Haji Zainuddin bin Haji Tumih, Haji Rosaidi bin Haji Kamis and Haji Mohd Sallehin bin Abdullah Kee also led the session as instructors in ensuring the programme’s success.

SMJA Secondary School Principal Hajah Norhashimah binti Haji Burut conveyed her appreciation for sharing their experiences with the students.

“We hope the programme can be the starting point for collaborative efforts in providing exposure to the students, so they will continue to be interested in football,” the principal said. – Fadhil Yunus
