I am writing to express my disappointment for poor ‘public engagement’ of a certain department.
I sent an email to the department asking a simple question, and two weeks have passed without response.
This is very upsetting because previously, I would visit the department myself for any matters. But because of time and other reasons, I cannot just go there for the sake of inquiring about a simple thing.
I tried to ask around but was informed that the lines have not been operational for several years.
They advised to reach them by visiting the office or through email, but certainly I have been met with disappointment with the latter. After all, it is the department’s responsibility to address any public inquiries, be it in person or virtually. I would not write to the Bulletin if my email was responded to.
Please be active and address this issue if we really want the public system to be as efficient and effective.
It is almost 2025 and we are still facing problems like these, when our regional counterparts are so well ahead.
