The Islamic Studies Department (JPI) held a brisk walk leisure activity to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle among officers and staff at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium concourse in Berakas yesterday.
JPI Assistant Director (Corporate Services) Haslinah Susanti binti Haji Mohd Hassan participated in the event. Assistant directors; department heads; unit heads as well as officers and staff from the JPI were also in attendance.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a light exercise prior to the start of the brisk walk activity.
The activity enabled the department to use the 637-metre stadium concourse, recently opened for public use as part of the phase two of the stadium repair and upgrade project.
The event aimed at strengthening ties and unity among the community in the department. – Fadhil Yunus
