One company which had violated Section 12(1)(f), Chapter 30 of the Miscellaneous Offences Act (Amendment) 2021 was issued a BND2,000 compound fine. The other company was slapped with a BND1,000 compound fine for violating Section 12(1)(b) and another received a BND500 compound fine for violating Section 12(1)(a) of the same act.

All three companies were given seven days to settle the fine.

Failure to do so will result in the case being brought to court. If guilty, they will be fined between BND2,000 and BND10,000 for the first offence, between BND10,000 and BND30,000 and imprisonment of no more than 12 months, or both, for subsequent offences.
