The Syariah Courts, State Judiciary Department at the Prime Minister’s Office, held the opening ceremony of the Tedarus Mahkamah-Mahkamah Syariah 2025 at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Supreme Court and Syariah Courts building in the capital.
Chief Syar’ie Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar officiated the event as the guest of honour.
The ceremony began with a Tedarus recitation, led by the chief syar’ie judge, followed by a group recitation of Al-Quran verses. The event concluded with a sungkai gathering and mass Maghrib prayer.
Syariah Appeal Court judges, High Court judges, acting chief registrar of the Syariah Appeal Court, Syariah Court judges, registrars, officers and staff of the Syariah Courts were also in attendance. – Fadley Faisal
