The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism through the Tourism Development Department in collaboration with TravelHub Tours and Travel Sdn Bhd, Royal Brunei Culinary, and Youth Development Centre hosted a career talk in hospitality and tourism industry at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) School on Wednesday.
Over 50 YSHHB School students along with the educators attended the briefing.
Experts offered firsthand insights into the many facets of the Hospitality and Tourism sector including on hotel management, travel and tourism, tour guiding and culinary arts.
Laksamana College of Business and Youth Development Centre also hosted a mini career exhibition showcasing courses in Tourism, Hospitality, and Culinary Arts.
The department will organise similar career talks at other schools and educational institutions across the Sultanate.
The aim is to enlighten students with the knowledge of the hospitality and tourism industry as well as providing guidance for students who plans to pursue careers in the industry. – James Kon
