His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam joined other congregants at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah on Wednesday in performing the Sunnat Aidiladha prayer.
His Majesty was joined by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik; and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.
Following the mass prayers, His Majesty and other members of the royal family attended the ritual Korban ceremony, in the mosque compound.
Aidiladha sermon highlighted the test endured by Prophet Ibrahim, loyalty to Allah’s order and his perseverence in facing challenges.
The sermon also called on Muslims to do all the good deeds and to prohibit all the wrong doings and to adhere to the law and Islamic obligations and our responsibilities to children, parents and the nation.
