Some 16 students and 13 teachers from Temburong Arabic School received certificates and souvenirs during the Primary School Assessment (PSR) Awarding ceremony for Year 6 at its school hall yesterday.
Director of Islamic Studies Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Shamshol bin Haji Omar, the guest of honour, presented gifts to the students and teachers.
Temburong Arabic School Headmaster Morsidi bin Haji Awang Tuah delivered a welcoming speech.
The ceremony aimed to appreciate the efforts of the students and teachers as well as injecting the enthusiasm of Year 6 students who will be sitting for the PSR examinations this year.
The ceremony also saw patriotic performances by students in conjunction with the 40th National Day celebration.
Officials from the Islamic Studies Department, parents and students were also present. – Azlan Othman
