The Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital early Saturday morning saw worshippers gathering for the ‘Masjidku Makmur, Negara Berkat’ programme, held in conjunction with ‘Bisai Tah Berjemaah’.
The initiative, organised to encourage congregational Subuh prayer, saw the participation of key officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) including Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim; Director of Administration Haji Mohammad Zulhilmi bin Haji Omar Ali; and Director of Syariah Affairs Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gemok as well as the public.
The morning began with the Subuh prayer performed in congregation, followed by the recitation of wirid.
The programme was further enriched by a tazkirah on ‘Keluargaku Berzikirlah’, delivered by Assistant Prison Counsellor at the Prisons Department at MoRA Fariszal bin Ali.
The initiative aimed to inspire the community to uphold the habit of attending mosques, particularly for Subuh prayers, which hold greater merit when performed in congregation compared to individually.
The programme also offered attendees an opportunity to gain blessings through wirid recitations, setting a positive tone for their weekend activities. – Fadley Faisal
