Some students managed to not let the COVID-19 pandemic hinder their learning and daily lives. This diligence, effort, commitment and hard work paid off with them achieving excellence and success, said Acting Head of the Scholarship Management Department at the Ministry of Education Rosimah Sumaimah binti Haji Matassim during an award presentation ceremony yesterday.
Some 14 graduates under His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme and 13 from Education Loan Assistance Scheme (SBPP) completed their Bachelor degree studies with first class honours in 2022. The event at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah saw a speech by graduate representative Ahmad Zakwan bin Haji Md Salleh.
Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, the guest of honour, presented awards and certificates to the graduates. – Rokiah Mahmud
