Students attend talk on human capital

The Faculty of Islamic Economics and Finance (FEKIm) at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through the Islamic Finance and Economics Students Association (iFESS) held a motivational talk titled ‘Forming Excellent Human Capital in the Endemic Era through the Model of Islamic Education’ recently.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Head of iFESS Religious Unit Haji Ahmad Zaki bin Haji Awang Antin, followed by a poetry performance titled, ‘Developing Human Capital’, a poem created by Adi Rumi presented by IFESS Relations unit members Muhammad Izzat bin Abidin.

UNISSA Adjunct Counsellor Haji Ali Yusri bin Haji Abdul Ghafor delivered the talk, moderated by Dean of FEKIm Dr Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani.

The talk emphasised on prayers and blessings of parents to their children as the main keys to forming an excellent human model in this world and in the hereafter.

The speaker also highlighted the importance of respecting and maintaining good relationship with neighbours to uphold harmony in the Sultanate.

The event coincided with the Dean’s Certificate Award presentation to FEKIm students who excelled in their academic programmes and obtained a grade point average of 3.67 and above.

A total of 131 students received certificates, presented by Dr Abdul Nasir.

Also present at the ceremony were lecturers, and Year 1 and 2 students of FEKIm.
