Some 20 Readymix Sdn Bhd personnel completed a three-day fire marshal course at the Bandar Seri Begawan Fire Station.
Officials from the Public Relations Division of Operation ‘A’ Branch under the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) conducted the course. Participants learnt the importance of fire safety through theory and practical sessions as well as an in-house fire drill training.
They also learnt about the causes of fire, actions to take when faced with a fire incident at the workplace by conducting systematic building evacuation, the correct way of using fire extinguisher as well as the approach of saving oneself if trapped in a fire.
The participants were given the opportunity to learn about firefighter equipment at the Bandar Seri Begawan Fire Station and visited the Women’s Operation Unit.
