Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) celebrated local talent and entrepreneurship through the ‘Latte Art Throwdown’, a coffee competition held during the BIBD Mega Karnival.
Muhammad Nabeel Aiman bin Rafedi clinched first place in the competition, followed by Ayumi Qistina binti Haji Abdul Kadir in second place.
Dayangku Durratul Hana binti Pengiran Haji Saifuddin and Mohammad Adam Fadhullah Danial bin Mahali secured third and fourth places.
BIBD Chief Marketing Officer Hajah Nurul Akmar binti Haji Mohd Jaafar said, “Brunei’s coffee culture has blossomed in recent years, driven by the creativity and entrepreneurship of our youth.
“Through initiatives like the Latte Art Throwdown, BIBD is privileged to provide a platform that nurtures talent and brings the coffee community together. Supporting events like these aligns with our commitment to empowering local businesses and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.”
The event highlighted the artistry of coffee-making and BIBD’s commitment to fostering a sustainable coffee ecosystem in the Sultanate.
The competition brought together skilled baristas nationwide, judged by a panel of coffee experts.
Among the judges was Kherwanis Iskandar, Hazwan Hassan and Awangku Md Asr Yazzie Putra bin Pengiran Yahya.
