Progresif Sdn Bhd donated eight personal computers to the Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei during a ceremony at the SMARTER Brunei Edge Centre in Kampong Mata-Mata, the company said in a press release.

Progresif’s Head of IT and Application Mohammad Fauzi bin Haji Md Yassin represented the company.

“We are thrilled to be able to support the work being done at SMARTER Brunei. We believe that every child deserves access to quality education and we are proud to contribute to creating an all-embracing learning environment,” said Mohammad Fauzi.

Following the implementation of Internet connectivity at the centre as part of the Donate Data campaign, Progresif aims to cater to the students’ digital and online learning, according to the press release.

“The Progresif TechCare Outreach emphasises both the progressive nature of the initiative and its focus on providing those who need technological support.“

Meanwhile, Progresif Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hajah Nurul Haniah binti Haji Jaafar said, “As a company, we are deeply committed to making a positive impact in our communities.”

Considering SMARTER Brunei’s teaching is based on visual and hands-on learning, the computers will enable students to access interactive learning materials tailored to their individual needs while also enabling them to better understand motor skills and readily adopt modern technologies.

The technology will not only supplement classroom instruction but also empower students to develop essential digital skills for the future.

“In keeping in line with Brunei Vision 2035, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the fast-paced technological driven world, Progresif has provided us with the leap in progression that is needed to keep our individuals with autism progressive,” said SMARTER Brunei CEO Sharifah Adila Surya binti Malai Haji Abdullah.
