Some 107 companies and vendors, including micro, small and medium entrepreneurs and established businesses, are participating in the IN:STALL @ Youth Hub 2024 event at the Youth Hub, Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, which ends today.
Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan officiated the launch.
Themed ‘Youth Ready for the Future’, the event, which began yesterday, is organised in conjunction with the 19th National Youth Day celebration.
The entrepreneurial project, led by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Youth Development Centre, aims to empower the youth entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Sultanate.
It is part of the Student Entrepreneurship Project (SEP), which began as a pilot in 2023. This year, 15 trainees from the 2024 Youth Development Programme were selected to collaborate with strategic partner Futurebrands through Vigorous Youth Event Management to coordinate the project.
The project offers a platform for training, ensuring that Youth Development Centre trainees, alumni and youth entrepreneurs can run their businesses with strong support from the centre and related agencies.
Various sales activities are held, including food and beverage vendors, pop-up stalls, creative arts products, accessories, apparel and car boot sales.
Cultural activities, DIY workshops and other programmes coordinated with relevant agencies are also featured. – Fadley Faisal
