Seven businesses caught violating pricing regulations

The Department of Economic Planning and Statistics (JPES) under the Ministry of Finance and Economy issued BND500 fines to seven business premises for offences under the Price Control Act, Chapter 142 and the Regulations under it, for the period from the beginning to the middle of June.

A routine inspection found three business premises selling cooking oil above the maximum price set. Meanwhile, four failed to display price tags for some items sold or displayed confusing price tags not in line with the prices in the payment system. – Azlan Othman
