Kare Health announced the grand opening of its first occupational health specialist clinic in the Sultanate.
Acting Interim Chief Executive Officer of Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) Haji Mohd Yusof bin Haji Mohd Taufik attended the event.
Kare Health’s new occupational health specialist clinic is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with industry-leading equipment and staffed by highly trained professionals. It is focused not only on workers’ medical assessment but also their working environment, hazardous exposures, educating and training on prevention, and advising employers and employees on occupational health and workplace safety.
In his address at the ceremony, Clinical Director of Kare Health Dr Haji Munir bin Dato Paduka Haji Metassan highlighted the urgent need for comprehensive occupational health services in light of the sobering statistics provided by the International Labour Organization (ILO).
He emphasised the importance of preventive measures and early intervention to address work-related illnesses and fatalities. He also underscored its alignment with Brunei Vision 2035, emphasising the company’s commitment to contributing to the nation’s goals of achieving world-class health and safety standards.
By prioritising preventive measures, early intervention and continuous improvement, Kare Occupational Health aims to promote a culture of safety, compliance and wellness in every workplace. Kare Health also expressed gratitude to their leading occupational health specialist Dr Balalla for his dedication and pioneering efforts in the field of occupational health.
