Johari bin Haji Ahmad yesterday carded a total of 146 gross to emerge as the champion of the 2nd Senior Amateur Pantai Mentiri Golf Championship.
Second place went to Suhaimi bin Haji Ibrahim, who finished with 148 gross and Madan Kumar in third place with 152 gross on count back.
Meanwhile, Hong Kok Seng finished first with 136 nett in the nett category, followed by Hanafiah Haji Besar in second place with 142 nett and Haji Aminuddin bin Haji Mohd Ali in third place with 143 nett.
President of Brunei Darussalam Association of Senior Golfers (BDASG) Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Pahlawan Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jaafar bin Haji Abdul Aziz, the guest of honour, presented the prizes.
The three-day tournament, open for Pantai Mentiri Golf Club members and golfers from overseas, attracted 64 senior golfers and 11 super senior golfers. – James Kon
