Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar and spouse Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi yesterday visited the Brunei History Centre on the final day of the courtesy visit to the country that began on Sunday.
Permanent Secretary (Culture) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan greeted the Sarawak governor and spouse upon arrival at the centre.
Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha was present as minister-in-attendance.
Dedicated to research, collection, publication and exhibition of Brunei’s history, the centre offers a look into the nation’s past with displays of antiques. It also houses artefacts and historical records of Bruneian and Borneo history. There is also a bookstore with historical publications on Brunei. – Azlan Othman
